An installation of hand-woven harakeke speaks of the contemporary Māori experience
Operating from within Te Ao Māori, Maureen Lander’s installation speaks to the contemporary Māori experience, where genealogy, cultural values and spiritual beliefs are cloaked by the codes of modern living. Lander’s installation shares rare insight into, and encouragement towards, ways that the contemporary Māori existence might be understood and lived.
