This sweet romantic comedy from the late eighties is the third feature in the 2020 Christchurch Japanese Film Festival, brought to you by the Consulate of Japan.
It's 1987 and eighteen-year-old Yonosuke moves from Nagasaki to Tokyo to go to university. He meets Shoko, an eccentric rich girl. Sixteen years later his peers are reminiscing and wondering what became of the affable Yonosuke. Directed by Shuichi Okita and starring Kengo Kora, Yuriko Yoshitaka, Sosuke Ikematsu, Go Ayano and Ayumi Ito.
