The Embassy of Japan in New Zealand presents this screening as part of the Japanese Film Festival’s fascinating 2020 season. Enter into a fantasy world with Akane!
Akane is a shy, young girl. On the day before her birthday the enigmatic and fabled alchemist Hippocrates suddenly emerges from the basement of an antique store with his apprentice Pipo. They request Akane save their world and so she sets out on an adventure to save the parallel world, Wonderland.
