This is the fifth feature in the 2020 Christchurch Japanese Film Festival, brought to you by the Consulate of Japan. Set around a traditional Toyama Festival, this film tells of workaholic Yuma Nakahara who receives a call from his estranged friend, Kouhei, and heads to Shinminato to visit him. However, he is too late... 

After learning that Kouhei had been working hard for the local Hikiyama Festival, Yuma decides to fulfil a promise. Directed by Kan Ishibashi and starring Yutaka Takenouchi, Yosuke Eguchi, Tori Mitsuzaka and Toshiyuki Nishida.

Complimentary tickets are available at the venue from 5.30pm. At 6.05pm a short cultural film will be screened. A Living Promise will screen at 6.30pm.
