When it comes to posting comprehensive pictures of your new exhibitions online, opinion is divided.
As someone who likes trawling gallery websites, I'm all for it. The case against doing so is that a comprehensive batch of photos will leach all the pleasure and surprise from the real thing. Having seen the photos of the show, people may even feel that they don't need to see the show itself.
In this case, though, you'll just have to trust us. The photos below of Reuben Paterson's new show may look good (or so I reckon), but nothing beats going to see Te Putahitanga O Rehua in the real. Until you do, or if you're trawling from afar, here are some views of the installation in full shimmer during its first week on show.
