Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū won a Civic Trust Award last night for the outdoor exhibition Reconstruction: conversations on a city. The exhibition on Worcester Boulevard closes this Sunday - the Reconstruction publication will be available within the next few days...

On a recent rip to Sydney I had the pleasure of visiting the Sherman Foundation in Paddington and saw a work by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu titled 'Old Persons Home' from the collection of well-known contemporary chinese art collector, Uli Sigg.
Going Fishing

First impressions
As Gallery entrances go, it would be true to say that the entrance into the NG building, which leads to Christchurch Art Gallery's temporary first-floor exhibition space, isn't the grandest example.
