CPIT School of Art and Design
This two-day workshop is a fun and unique opportunity for year 12 and 13 NCEA visual arts students to work with local artist Wayne Youle to create an artwork of their own. Wayne will teach a series of creative drawing techniques and then help the students plan and make an artwork that is based on his recently completed mural on Colombo Street in Sydenham.
The workshop runs for two full days: Satuday 24 and Sunday 25 March, from 10 to 4 each day.

He’s been called a cultural prankster, an agent provocateur and a bullshit artist (that last description came from his dad, but it was bestowed – he’s pretty sure – with love). While we’re at it, add ‘serial pun merchant’ to that list; in art, as in conversation, Wayne Youle can spot a good one-liner a mile off and has never knowingly left an entendre undoubled.
