In this 45-minute introduction to star-gazing by Jessa Barder from the Te Whai Ao/Dodd-Wells Centre you’ll take a virtual tour of the night sky in Ōtautahi, exploring star patterns significant around the world before delving a bit deeper into Puaka and Matariki and this significant time of year in Aotearoa.

This engaging talk is full of colorful stories and useful tips that will have you ready to go out and make the most of our phenomenal Southern skies – no telescope or prior experience necessary!
