Jess Dare (b.1982) lives and works in Adelaide, Australia on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. She is a skilled jeweller and flameworker renowned for working in both metal and glass. She is a partner of Gray Street Workshop (established in 1985) one of Australia’s longest running collectively run studios for artists working in the field of contemporary jewellery and object making.

Drawn to flowers as a bittersweet reminder of life’s transience, Jess uses the potent symbolism of flowers to explore themes of family, loss, grief, impermanence, memory and time in her exhibition More Than a Handful of Flowers.
