Fresh from an arts and health research hui in Edinburgh, Kim Morton will talk about the powerful impact art and creativity can have on mental health.

Drawing on her work leading Ōtautahi Creative Spaces and international developments in the field, Kim will show how increased access to art and creativity will help address the mental health crisis in Aotearoa. Kim is the founder and director of Ōtautahi Creative Spaces, an arts and mental health community in Christchurch. She dreams of a world where everyone with mental distress has access to the lifesaving and transformative power of creativity. With support of the Churchill Fellowship, Kim explored the potential for arts prescriptions in Aotearoa.
