School Holiday Workshop: Watercolour Exploration
Wednesday 7 - Friday 9 October 2020 / 1pm
Artist Sharnaé Beardsley leads a workshop on watercolour painting that takes inspiration from the joy, colour and form of exhibition Louise Henderson: From Life, but goes its own way.
For young people interested in techniques, but no experience necessary, just curiosity. Bookings essential. Ages 10–18
Sharnaé Beardsley is a Ōtautahi Christchurch-based artist. Currently, her work repurposes the venerable genre of flower painting for a contemporary context. She graduated from the Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design, Auckland with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2012, and has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand. In 2019 she had her first solo show Orchidelirium at The National in Christchurch. Beardsley has work in significant private collections both in New Zealand and overseas and in the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū collection.
