Join the Friends for a visit to the studio of Ōtautahi artist, Oliver Perkins.

Oliver Perkins is an artist and educator from Ōtautahi Christchurch. He gained a Bachelor of Design from Christchurch Polytech before heading to the UK where he completed a Master of Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art and Design. Oliver lived and worked in the UK and Spain for over a decade, where he was involved in artist run-spaces, collectives and exhibited widely.

Since returning to Ōtautahi, Oliver has had several public solo exhibitions, most notably A kind of arrow at Dunedin Public Art Gallery in 2023 and A contiguous body at Whangārei Art Museum earlier this year. His work is held in the collections of Toi o Tāmaki Auckland Art Gallery, The Chartwell Collection, Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū and Dunedin Public Art Gallery.

Oliver will open the doors to his Lyttelton studio and talk about his working process and his expansive painting practice.
