A major retrospective of artist, illustrator and sculptor Russell Clark (1905–1966).
This retrospective exhibition paid tribute to the work of one of Canterbury's and New Zealand's notable artists. Russell Clark (1905-1966) was a versatile and serious painter and sculptor who contributed to the social and cultural life and history of this country.
This was the first exhibition and full catalogue organised by Robert McDougall Art Gallery which went on to tour 12 cities in New Zealand.
