This exhibition is now closed

The Dutch Landscapes of the 17th Century In Print and Drawing exhibition comprised 26 prints and 26 drawings brought to New Zealand by the Royal Netherlands Legation through the National Gallery, Wellington.

The exhibits were photographic reproductions of the original works, unframed and firmly mounted.

The exhibition explored the true Dutch landscape with its low horizon, broad expanse of sky, winter views full of atmosphere and distant river landscapes.

Artists included Rembrandt, Jan van de Velde, Buytewech, Jacob van Ruysdael, Albert Cuyp and Paulus Potter.
