Explore our city's urban biodiversity with iNaturalist superstar Jon Sullivan on a guided 850m walk through the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
Interested in joining the full 7km hīkoi? Meet Jon at the Sign of the Takahē at 9.45am.
With Jon we’ll find all manner of interesting species that share our city with us. Jon is interested in weeds, the native plants they compete with and the insects that eat them. He is also interested in documenting how nature is changing in New Zealand in response to changing land use, species invasions, and climate change. To do this, Jon obsessively makes thousands of nature observations every week - and is fast approaching 60,000 observations!
