Lynn Campbell is a British-born, Christchurch-based, fine art paper conservator who has worked throughout the world.
Lynn's formal qualifications were obtained in the UK and she commenced work at the Robert McDougall Art Gallery in 1986 (later Christchurch Art Gallery), establishing preventive conservation protocols and procedures to inhibit deterioration to many New Zealand collections. She was one of the first conservators to work on the historic huts in Antarctica. In 1987 she founded the Canterbury Disaster Salvage Team to assist cultural institutions in the event of a disaster. During 2010 Lynn was a guest scholar at the Getty Conservation Institute in the US, looking into developments in the protection of museum collections during earthquakes. Lynn will be speaking about her appointment in LA and her future plans.
