Heather Galbraith will give a richly illustrated introduction to SCAPE Public Art 2018.

Our Braided Future is the six-week season of artworks in public space that opens in Ōtautahi Christchurch on the weekend of 6 and 7 October. Heather's talk will include behind-the-scenes insights into how works have evolved, and highlights to look out for. This is the third and final SCAPE season that Heather has curated.

Heather is a professor of fine art at Whiti o Rehua School of Art, College of Creative Arts, Massey University Wellington and has previously held senior management and curatorial roles at St Paul ST, AUT University, City Gallery Wellington and the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. She has been involved in multiple NZ at Venice projects including as co-curator and deputy commissioner of Francis Upritchard’s Save Yourself in 2009, deputy commissioner for Bill Culbert’s Front Door Out Back in 2013 and commissioner for Simon Denny’s Secret Power in 2015.
