St Peters Church Hall, Fisher Avenue

The Rolling Maul series originated as a response to the impact of the recent earthquakes on Christchurch's local artists, many of whom lost works, studios and exhibition venues.

Curator Felicity Milburn will discuss how the project evolved from a single show into a year-long exhibition series, outline the challenges of putting a programme together in an offsite space, and speak about some of the exciting exhibitions that have resulted, as well as those that are still to come.

Felicity Milburn has been a curator at Christchurch Art Gallery (formerly Robert McDougall Art Gallery and Annex) since 1998. Selected exhibitions include: Séraphine Pick, 2009; Julia Morison: a loop around a loop, 2006 and Wonderland, 2005 (both with Justin Paton); and Home/Ground, SCAPE Art & Industry Urban Arts Biennial, 2004.
