Dr Jacky Bowring is associate professor and head of the School of Landscape Architecture at Lincoln University.
An award-winning landscape architect, Dr Bowring has published widely and is the current editor of Landscape Review. Jacky has a personal research interest in memorial sites in landscape architecture and was a finalist in the Pentagon Memorial Competition (2002). In 2007 Jacky won the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland, Memorial Garden Competition, and in 2011 was supreme winner (with Team NZ Wood) of the 48-Hour Design Challenge (a competition for the redesign of post-quake Christchurch). She is currently involved in discussions relating to an earthquake memorial for Christchurch. Jacky is an informed and engaging speaker whose forthcoming lecture is sure to prove interesting, revealing and relevant.
