Aileen Burns and Johan Lundh talk on their longstanding curatorial collaboration. They have been executive directors of the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane (IMA) since early 2014. They curated the first solo Australian exhibitions of Patrick Staff (UK), art collective Slavs and Tatars (Eurasia), and Hito Steyerl (Germany). In 2016, they will curate the first survey show of New Zealand artist Luke Willis Thompson. They began their tenure at the IMA working with Studio Miessen to update the premises and initiated a bookstore partnership with Motto Distribution.

Prior to joining the IMA, Burns and Lundh were co-directors of the Centre for Contemporary Art, Derry, Northern Ireland. They were also part of the curatorial team for the 2013 Turner Prize. They're regular contributors to art periodicals art-agenda, Canadian Art, and Kunstkritikk, as well as exhibition catalogues and books.
