Friday 27 March, 11am to 5pm (meet at Artspace)
The tour begins with an optional day in central Auckland, where members can join a walking tour of a variety of dealer, craft and project space galleries in the Karangahape Road, Ponsonby and Newtown areas.

Saturday 28 March, 8.45am (meet at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki)
On Saturday we will visit Gibbs Farm – one of the most amazing sculpture parks in the southern hemisphere, featuring works by Len Lye, Richard Serra, Anish Kapoor, Neil Dawson, Andy Goldsworthy, Sol LeWitt and more. This is a special opportunity as the park is usually closed to the public. We will depart Gibbs Farm when the park closes at 2pm and return to our drop off point at Auckland Art Gallery at around 3pm.

UPDATE February 2020: Tickets to Gibbs Farm have now sold out. However, members can still join the tour activities on Friday and Sunday. Please contact the Friends office as the pricing will be different for this tour option.

Sunday 29 March, 8.45am (meet at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki)
Our first destination for Sunday is Pah Homestead, the home of the Wallace Arts Trust Collection where we will go on a guided tour of the collection and an exhibition by Jefferey Harris.

At McCahon House in Titirangi, our second destination for the day, we will be given a talk and tour of the significant site which was the McCahon family house from 1953 to 1960.

Our third destination will be Te Uru Waitakare Contemporary Art Gallery (formerly Lopdell House), also in Titirangi where members can enjoy the exhibitions at their own pace, before and after lunch.

At 1.30pm, we will make our way to Auckland Art Gallery where we will spend the remainder of the afternoon to view current exhibitions. Members will join a guided tour of the new exhibition Enchanted Worlds: Hokusai, Hiroshige and the Art of Edo. The Art Tour will wrap up at 5pm at Auckland Art Gallery.
