Friends Art Tour to Auckland
27–29 March 2020
Join the Friends on an art-filled weekend in Auckland, including visits to Gibbs Farm Sculpture Park and McCahon House.
Friday 27 March
The tour begins with an optional day in central Auckland, when we will visit a variety of dealer, craft and project space galleries.
Saturday 28 March
We will visit Gibbs Farm – one of the most amazing sculpture parks in the southern hemisphere, featuring works by Len Lye, Richard Serra, Anish Kapoor, Neil Dawson, Andy Goldsworthy, Sol LeWitt and more. This is a special opportunity as the park is usually closed to the public.
IMPORTANT: Tickets to Gibbs Farm need to be purchased directly through iTicket.co.nz (click HERE). Make sure you book for Saturday 28 March and we recommend choosing the lunch option which is $115 for adults (or $90 for students) plus the booking fee. Tickets will sell out fast and we DO NOT have an allocation set aside for the Friends, so we strongly recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible. We would hate to see anyone wishing to join us for the weekend miss out on what should be a great day.
Sunday 29 March
We will visit Te Uru (formerly Lopdell House) and McCahon House, both in Titirangi, followed by Auckland Art Gallery in the afternoon.

Details including cost will be confirmed once we have a clear indication of numbers attending.
All transport to and from the various venues will be organised by the Friends.
Accommodation, flights, food and tickets for entry to Gibbs Farm will be the attendee's responsibility.
