A collection of apparently straightforward corporate photographic portraits, the type usually seen in company boardrooms or annual reports, becomes increasingly puzzling in its intent.
Appearing at first to adhere safely to the rules of photographic studio portraiture, it soon becomes clear that the rules have subtly shifted. This group of middle-aged and older men are hired models, actors in a sense, taking on invented job titles at the same time as they take on brand new suits and ties and sharp-focus photographic scrutiny. Is this a study of power and working life success, or something altogether stranger?
