The fifth film in the Christchurch iteration of the Eighteenth Latin America and Spain Film Festival, Why Do My Friends Cry? is a Cuban drama about four female friends who meet for the first time in twenty years.
The recounting of their lives creates future challenges to face together. It is a film to spark laughter, tears and reflections on diversity, friendship and honesty.
