Dr Noel Waite, curator of the graphic design aspect of Leo Bensemann: A Fantastic Art Venture, and Bruce Bascand, managing director of The Caxton Press, talk about Bensemann's graphic practice.
Known for his portraits and landscapes, Leo Bensemann is equally recognised for his significant contribution to New Zealand graphic design and typography through his work with The Caxton Press. Dr Noel Waite, senior lecturer in Design History, Exhibition Design and Print Culture at the University of Otago and the curator of the graphic design aspect of Leo Bensemann: A Fantastic Art Venture, and Bruce Bascand, managing director of The Caxton Press, talk about this other side of Leo's practice and about the relationship of printing and design.
