Now that's what I call sound art
Behind the scenes
OK, so yesterday we heard about ""sound art"", today let's record the birthday of Richard Wagner, the world's greatest composer of opera, in 1813. Happy 201st.
Above we have Aubrey Beardsley's impressionn of Isolde, who is a central character in our forthcoming film. Next Wednesday, 28 May, at 6pm, we are screening Stephen Fry's documentary film about Wagner. It's free, but spaces are limited so reserving a seat is recommended. The film is tellingly called Wagner and me so expect equal amounts of Fry and Wagner.
And, obviously, plenty of death, sex, murder, passion and poison.
