This Goes Out to You

Behind the scenes

These are tricky, venue-lean times for artists in Christchurch, which means exhibitions can turn up just about anywhere.

Such is the case with Mat Logan's new show, Part Two: This Goes Out To You, located temporarily in a unprepossessing building at 21 Leyden Street in Phillipstown. Logan recently undertook an artist residency at the Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan (funded by Asia New Zealand) and describes these new works, which include sculptures made from found materials and a mesmerising video shot inside a subway train, as existing somewhere between past and future, and here and there. The show is only open till the end of this weekend (11am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday), so get along if you can!
