Day Tripping?

Behind the scenes

There are many good reasons to visit Oxford, North Canterbury, but here are 117 more:

117 is the staggering number of works by Christchurch artists included in the Rhyme Nor Reason – Moving On exhibition at the town's purpose-built Arts in Oxford gallery. Organised by the gallery's patron, Philip Trusttum and fellow artist Barry Cleavin, the show is intended to support artists affected by the recent earthquakes and features forty-four artists with connections to Christchurch – including Bill Hammond, Grant Takle, Simon Edwards, Julia Morison, Tony de Lautour, Marian Maguire, Cheryl Lucas and Martin Whitworth.

Kudos to Arts in Oxford for hosting the exhibition (installed with the assistance of Christchurch Art Gallery's exhibitions team). Be sure to check out Morison's 'liqueurfaction' series – works made with Fra Angelico, Sambuca, Tia Maria etc. You have until 10 July.
