Recent British Video

This package of Recent British Video was shown widely in Britain and abroad before coming to New Zealand. The exhibition was only in Christchurch for 2 days as the high cost of hiring these tapes – around ₤51 per day for each programme – prohibited a more lengthy time slot at each venue.

The videos were all produced after 1980 and they were works which resisted or stood apart from dominant ideological practices.
