Photographs by the Print Makers

4 May –
31 May 1976

Trying to capture the beauty of the world, a group of Christchurch photographers banded together calling themselves the Print Makers. They wanted to show that in this world there still existed beauty and people who appreciated beauty.

There were 80 photographs, half in black and white and half in colour, taken by eight Christchurch photographers. They were; Mark Mail, Peter Morath, Roy Boston, Esma Arps, Lloyd Park, Hugh Perry, Frank Reavey and Martin Sewell.

The exhibition organised by the Robert McDougall Art Gallery was also shown at the Aigantighe Art Gallery, Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and the Sargeant Gallery.

There was a good response from the public and news media.
