Michael Clason Thomas: Self Portraits

This was an exhibition of 26 self portraits by Christchurch artist Michael Clason Thomas. The portraits were drawn on paper using either graphite, charcoal, felt-tip pen, pastel or watercolour with the exception of one acrylic on canvas.
The artist died before the exhibtion opened and a function was organised to pay respects to his memory. As well as being an artist, Thomas was a regular contributor of art reviews to The Press in the late 1970s.
