Medieval Pottery

This exhibition is now closed

Each year the Robert McDougall Art Gallery organised at least one exhibition of pottery of different styles, periods and countries. For this particular year, 40 British pots were borrowed from the Otago Museum. These were common, everyday pots which were found in wells and during underground railway excavations.

The exhibition was shown at the Canterbury Society of Arts Gallery and coincided with the New Zealand Potters annual exhibition held in Christchurch that year.
