Max Hailstone: Typographic Prints
3 October –
13 October 1985
This was an exhibition of fifteen typographic prints made from hand-set metal type by Christchurch graphic designer and lecturer Max Hailstone.
Art writer John Hurrell commented in his review in The Press that although the works referred to the shpaes and colours of the Russian Suprematists, the fact that the images were formed from the backs of letters added an important conceptual ingredient.
