Jerusalem Through the Eyes of Children

In 1987, responding to the invitation of the Jerusalem City Council, more than 40,000 children from all over the world sent paintings of their imaginative vision of the city to Jerusalem. An exhibition of selected submissions from 40 countries was arranged by the Israel Museum in conjunction with the Jerusalem City Council and it is this exhibition the Gallery with the Israeli Embassy is pleased to present in Christchurch as part of the programme of art by and for young people.
