William Dargie Portraits 1954

Portraits of noted New Zealand surgeons - Sir Louis Barnett and Sir Gordon Bell, New Zealanders who have held office as president of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons were displayed in the Robert McDougall Art Gallery. The portraits were commissioned by the New Zealand Fellows of the college for presentation to the college in Melbourne. The paintings are the work of the Australian artist, William Dargie.
