English Silver exhibition catalogue cover
This exhibition of English silver from the collections of the Earl of Lonsdale and the Marquess of Ormonde was assembled by staff at the Victoria and Albert Museum and toured across New Zealand by the British Council.
It featured 101 pieces (flagons, tankards, candlesticks, cruets, salvers and dishes) dating between 1660 and 1820. Most were extravagantly decorated.
