This exhibition was organised from the Dowse Art Gallery by the Director, D. P. Millar however, it not funded by the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council.
There were sixty–five paintings in all, 25 from Christchurch in the exhibition, 2 from the Gallery and the rest from private collections.
The catalogue, designed by the Polytechnic Design School, Wellington, was in great demand.
