This exhibition of 60 contemporary Australian watercolours was organised by the Hastings City Cultural Centre from the Australian Watercolour Institute. The Institute's aim was to promote the qualities of watercolour painting, and through its exhibition to stimulate the interest of other painters, students and public.
The works ranged from abstraction to realism and among the prominent artist contributing were Max Angus, Fredrick Bates and Janna Bruce.
