The Bewick Tailpieces are small wood engravings which Thomas Bewick engraved and placed at the end of a chapter. Most of the works were from A History of British Birds Volume I, 1797 and Volume II, 1804.
The Tailpieces are part of the Waikato Art Museum Permanent Collection and were acquired from Mrs E Watson of Leamington, Cambridge. There are 115 wood engravings in the collection, of which 88 were shown.
