Barbara Hepworth Exhibition

This exhibition brought to Christchurch by the British Council through the National Gallery comprised 21 enlarged photographs of Barbara Hepworth's sculptures, eight photos of drawings, five drawings and five pieces of original sculpture in bronze, brass and alabaster.

Posters were available for distribution.

Canterbury University School of Art lecturer Eric Doudney was available for discussion on Sunday 16 September.

According the W S Baverstock, the exhibition looked extremely effective, but was not popular.

Admission was one shilling, catalogues were two shillings and the total takings came to ₤25-13-0.
