An exhibition prepared by the Naiontal Art Gallery of New Zealand from its own Collection.
This was the first time this exhibition of engravings and woodcuts by Albrecht Dűrer (1471-1528) had travelled to the South Island. There were 37 original graphic masterpieces from the 15th and 16th century on loan from the National Art Gallery's permanent collection.
The exhibition was supplemented with works from the Robert McDougall Art Gallery collection and by all accounts was well received.
