In this talk, Art Historian Margaux Warne will examine the work and career of William Hogarth against the backdrop of eighteenth-century London. She will focus on his famous narrative series including The Rake's Progress and Marriage à-la-Mode, while considering the ways his work is still relevant and entertaining today.
Margaux Warne is an independent Art Historian based in Christchurch. Her research focuses on nineteenth-century art and literature.
