Building on her beautiful essay ‘Taku Hokika kit e Kāika / My Journey Home’, in Fiona Pardington: A Beautiful Hesitation, Hana O’ Regan (Kāi Tahu) explores the Kāi Tahu narratives, landscapes and traditions woven through Pardington’s work, while also discussing her own personal connection to these stories, places and traditions.

Hana O'Regan is general manager – Oraka for Kāi Tahu and is currently completing her PhD at AUT. She has also lectured at Otago University, and was director of Pacific and Māori studies at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology, now called Ara.
