Swiss artist Lill Tschudi was a key figure in the British linocut movement. A talented and prolific printmaker, she produced eighty-five examples between 1930 and 1949. Here she focuses on the tight circle of ice hockey players battling over the puck, and the tangled forms and shapes that circle the players reinforce the sense of energy and physical vitality.
