Neke Moa's adornments celebrate the natural materials of this whenua, such as harakeke, pakohe (argillite), pounamu, bone and feathers. She honours her whakapapa Māori through the choice of materials and the way she brings together of customary and contemporary techniques. Her works often represent atua from her Kāi Tahu whakapapa, acknowledging their enduring relevance in today's world.
