ReMix Film Fest
Note
Listen up all you budding directors and auteurs! As part of ReMix on 18 July, we’re running a short film competition for young filmmakers aged between 13 and 18.
ReMix is the Gallery’s late-night event for young people, curated by young people. On the evening of the event we'll be showing a selection of great films by young filmmakers in the Gallery auditorium. The films will be selected by the ReMix Committee, attendees will vote for their favourite film, and the winner will take out a pretty cool prize.
We are really excited to see ReMix as a forum where student filmmakers can have their work shown, celebrated and enjoyed, right here in Christchurch!
How it works:
- It is free to enter a film.
- The closing date for entries is 16 July.
- Films need to be between 1 and 5 minutes long.
- The asect ratio of your film must be 16×9, resolution: 1080 or 720HD.
- You must have the rights to all material that appears in your film. Release forms must be signed for all actors, locations, music and anything else that you need permission for that you use in your film.
- Send your film as a secure downloadable Dropbox, VIMEO or We Transfer link to amy.marr@ccc.govt.nz. Please include the following details in your email: Film Title / School / Director / Name of Group / Date of Production.
- A selection of quality films will be chosen by the ReMix Committee for screening at ReMix (we will inform you whether or not your film will be screened during the event), with ReMix attendees voting for their favourite film in real time via Facebook.
Any questions, email Amy.
Good luck!
