A record 100,000 visitors have now seen Ron Mueck's lifelike sculptures at the Gallery.
The milestone was reached today, with six-year-old Henry King the proud recipient of a signed Ron Mueck catalogue. Ron Mueck is now believed to be the most popular paid-entry exhibition by a living artist to be held in New Zealand.
Director Jenny Harper says the Gallery is thrilled so many people have visited the exhibition. 'We were delighted last month when the exhibition became the most popular pay-to-view exhibition to be held in Christchurch. For it to become the most popular paid-entry exhibition by a living artist ever to show in this country just a few weeks later is another fantastic achievement.'
