Since mid 2011 it's been temporarily stashed in the downstairs exhibition galleries. Of course that statement rather belies the logisitical nightmare that is moving over six and half thousand works of art to a new home in a safe, secure, and of course, reversible, manner. It was a big job.

When the move was done, the doors were sealed, and we settled down to the task of relevelling the building...

So now it's time to move it all back. The storerooms have been repaired, remediated and refitted and they're ready to be used. Here's how the process started:
