Christchurch - get ready to have your colours done...

Behind the scenes

Melbourne-based artist Ash Keating is in town and is preparing to launch an all-out assault on concrete blandness with waterbombs, fire extinguishers, weed throwers and other paint-propelling devices.

Keating's new work, on an inner city wall recently revealed by demolition, is entitled Concrete Propositions and is jointly presented by Gap Filler and Christchurch Art Gallery.

Come on down to the site at 117 - 119 Worcester Street (the Manchester Street side of the Cathedral Junction building) between 9am and 1pm this Saturday to see the work take shape. If you'd like to help by filling a bucket or two, you'll be extra welcome, but don't forget to wear old clothes.
