To infinity...
Behind the scenes
A while ago I posted about the nature of the spam received in the Bulletin inbox and the way it has developed over time. Recently it seems to have changed again, this time shifting from the narcotic or the pornographic to the just plain surreal.
We're now getting regular offers from, amongst others, a Ms Happy and a Mr Gooseberry, who can make me vinyl toy (their singular, not mine). Specifically, they can make me Buzz Lightyear heads.
It's an interesting offer, and not a product I'd ever thought about buying in bulk before. I'm not quite sure what I'll do with them when they arrive. I'm picturing something like British sculptor Antony Gormley's Field. But with more prominent chins.
The mention of Antony Gormley by the way, serves as a reather weak segue into a brazen plug for the next Bulletin, which features an interview between Gallery director Jenny Harper and Gormley. In it, he shares his thoughts on the future and value of public space and an interesting suggestion for our own Sir Robert Falcon Scott.
You can buy Bulletin online or in the Gallery Shop.
