The earthquakes have triggered a revival of the old-fashioned art of the 'care package'.
Whether it's some Boston buns and a budget bottle of wine left on the back step by a neighbour, or the all-out special-delivery cornucopia brimming with fancy goods, unexpected parcels and packages have put a lift in many a stressed-out local's day.
A blow-me-down extraordinary care package has landed on the Christchurch Art Gallery's doorstep this week. Out of the blue, and near perfectly timed, too – what with it being the one-year anniversary of the first quake.
And here it is.
